During the operatio, 5,450 inmates were  subjectted to search and inspection while their cells were searched.   The thirteen (13) jail facilities in the province (1 Provincial, 1 District, 6 City and 7 Municipal) were inspected simultaneously aside from the 12 custodial  facilities of the the PNP. Items seized include drug paraphernalia, cell phones, memory cards, payphone cards, other electronic gadgets, monetary items, deadly weapons, and other  contrabands.  The recent controversies in the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) and other government correctional facilities, particularly the presence of contrabands such as  illegal drugs and telecommunication equipment, has brought the necessity to conduct operations in the thirteen (13) jails in the Province of Cavite.  “While we are ridding the houses, streets and community of illegal drugs, we also see to it that the Provincial, District, City, and Municipal jails are equally  drug-free. We will not be distracted by the recent terror attacks in our resolve to carry out the Project Double Barrel. We remain focused and committed’, sai  Provincial Director PSSUPT Arthur V Bisnar.
