492 CALABARZON Personnel  Promoted to the Next Higher Rank  Camp Vicente Lim - Four hundred  ninety-two (492) personnel of Police  Regional Office CALABARZON who were  promoted to the next higher ranks took  their oath on January 30, 2017 at NPTI  Grandstand, Camp Vicente Lim,  Calamba City witnessed by their  families, friends, loved ones, and other  police officers.  The newly promoted officers under the  2nd Semester, CY 2016 Promotion  Program includes 49 Police  Commissioned Officers (PCO) and 443  Police Non-Commissioned Officers to  include personnel from the Regional  Support Units. They underwent  meticulous screening which includes  neuro-psychiatric examination, drug test  and panel interview.  PRO4A Regional Director PCSUPT Valfrie  Gacias Tabian administered the mass  oath-taking, donning and pinning of  ranks of the said personnel. In his  message, he emphasized that their new  rank means ne responsibilities to the  organization and to the citizenry. “Promotion is not only accompanid by an  increase of salary but coupled by bigger  challenges and accountabilities. It  requires a higher level of competencies  represented by the rank insignias in  your shoulders”, the Regional Director  further added. CALABARZON Police Finishes  Ironman Race in Taiwan  Camp Vicente Lim - Senior Police Officer  3 Angelo Mallari Astrero of Rizal PPO  successfully finshed and ranked 646  among the 1,400 participants aand  ranked 140 among 581 in the 40-44 Age  Division in the recently concluded 1st  Full Ironman Race (Triathlon) in Penghu,  Taiwan on October 2, 2016. Triathlon is a fast growing endurance  sports which includes three (3) different  disciplines which is swimming, biking,  and running or marathon and Iron Man  Challenge is regarded as one of the  toughest in the world because of its  unique courses. During the said race triathletes needs to  hurdle a 2.4 mile (3.8 km) Open Water  Swim; the bike (pedal) with 112 miles  (180km); and final portion was a 26.2  miles (42.2 km) marathon with the  scenic view of the host country. SPO3 Astrero finished the Ironman  Taiwan 2016 with a total time  accumulated of 16 hours, 1 minute, and  13 seconds (16:01:13) under the cut-off  time of 17 hours. He completed  swimming within 2 hours, 1 minute, and  11 seconds (2:01:11); biking within 7  hours, 19 minutes, and 44 seconds  (7:19:44); and finished marathon within  6 hours, 22 minutes, and 16 seconds  (6:22:16).  The Police Regional Office CALABARZON  recognized the accomplishment of SPO3  Astrero, hence he was awarded the  “Medalya ng Kasanayan” during the  Traditional Monday Flag Raising  Ceremony on October 24, 2016 at Camp  Vicente Lim. 
February 1, 2017  CY 2017 PO1 RECRUITMENT PROGRAM As per memorandum  from The Acting Director  for Personnel and  Records Management  (TADPRM) dated January  16, 2017, the Recruitment  Online Application  System (ROAS) in the  forthcoming CY 2017  PO1 Recruitment  Program will be  implemented. This is a  web-based and central  recruitment application  system that will simplify  the submission of  accomplished PNP PO1  Application Form and to  address queries  regarding the  recruitment process.
