Troops for Election Duties, Deployed
Camp BGen Vicente P Lim– COMELEC 4A Regional Election Director Atty Gloria G. Ramos-Petallo, Commander Southern Luzon Command LTGEN Gilbert I Gapay, and PRO4A Regional Director PBGEN Edward E Carranza led this morning’s Send-Off Ceremony of Troops for Election Duties who will be deployed in the different polling precints and other areas in CALABARZON region.
A total of 12, 584 personnel from the Regional Headquarters and the five (5) Police Provincial Offices to include the 511 personnel from the Armed Forces of the Philippines were deployed to render election duties for the 2019 Midterm Elections.
“This Send-Off Ceremony for our troops who will be deployed for Election duties is a proof of our earnest aspiration for a secure, credible, and fair Midterm Elections through working together at a level of excellence to ensure that we will meet our desired outcome,” said LTGEN Gilbert I Gapay.
COMELEC 4A Election Director Atty Petallo commends the PNP and AFP for the untiring support and assistance for all the preparations in the upcoming 2019 Midterm Elections.
Meanwhile, PBGEN Carranza reminded everyone that as public servants they should know the policy of non-partisanship. “For those who have their own political affiliations and/or relatives running for certain seat in the government, you must refrain from showing your support and patronage,” he further added.
During the ceremony, Election Information Cards were distributed to the troops for easy access to Election Monitoring Action Center and Tactical Operation Center as well as the Guidelines in Securing Polling Centers.
Also present during the ceremony were the different Provincial Election Officers, and representatives from other government agencies.
The ceremony was immediately followed by an Area Joint Security Coordinating Center Meeting participated by the Regional Directors and concerned officers of Police Regional Office 4A, 4B and Police Regional Office 5, their respective COMELEC Election Officers, the Joint Task Force Katagalugan (JTFK), Joint Task Force Bicolandia (JTFB), Southern Luzon Command (SOLCOM), and the Directorate for Integrated Police Operations Southern Luzon led by PMGEN Ericson T Velasquez.
“I must say that all is set and we have a well-prepared deployment, hence I would like everyone to directly supervise our people in Police Stations for other preparations,” PMGEN Velasquez said.
