The  awardees were recognized for their involvement and  meritorious accomplishment during the conduct of SAFE 2016,  police operations and other commendable accomplishments.  One noteworthy was the recent accomplishment of Cavite  particularly Bacoor City Police Station wherein more r less 10  kilos and 400 grams of suspected shabu were confiscated and  4 suspects were arrested during a buy-bust operation  conducted on May 17, 2016 at Park Homes, Brgy. Queensrow,  West Central, Bacoor City. Anaother remarkable deed that was given recognition was the  act of the couple police officers namely PO2 Raymond L  Matundan and PO1 Mary Joy M Matundan both members of  Talisay Municipal Police Station of Batangas Police Provincial  Office who displayed honesty and dedication by bringing back  without hesitations to the owner of the lost pouch bag in May  14, 2016, containing large amount of money, passbook, ATM  Cards and other valuable belongings owned by Mrs. Teresa De  Leon Maravilla of Brgy. Sto. Tomas, Batangas. The story of the  couple were already featured in various TV program both local  and national and was also liked by netizens i  the social media  after it went viral. They were also given recognition by the local  government of Taisay for such exemplary display of character.  The awards were presented by PRO4A Officer-In-Charge  PCSUPT Ronald V Santos assisted by Regional Chief  Directorial Staff PSSUPT Bernabe M. Balba.

CALABARZON PNPJoins Nationwide L.A.K.A.D. Tokhang 2018  Camp BGen.Vicente P. Lim–Around eight hundred seventy (870) participants from Region-4A community join the simultaneous nationwide walk in  support of the PNP’s campaign against illegal drugs. The parade commenced at 4:00 pm today, February 24, from San Jose Hospital Brgy.  Mayapa, Calamba City, Laguna to NPTI Grandstand Camp BGen Vicente Lim, Calamba City, Laguna.  Among the participants are from non-government organizations, public and private sectors, Association of Barangay Captains (ABC), and military  members from AFP. In his message, Dir. Manuel Q Gotis, Regional Director of DILG CALABARZON who graces the event as the Guest of Honor and Speaker  expresses his appreciation and gratitude to PRO4A specially to PCSUPT  Ma. O R Aplasca, RD, PRO4A for the implementation of programs like  Community Mobilization and SiPag that addresses crimes, lawlessness and illegal drugs.  “In this life you must make the choice, to take the chance, if you want anything in life to change”, Dir. Gotis said. L.A.K.A.D.Tokhang aims to raise the awareness of the community on the ill-effects of drugs and to encourage participants to be involved in the  national campaign against illegal drugs. . “Sana sapamamagitanninyo ay makahikayat pa tayongmarami pa natingkababayanupangmakasamanatinsaatingadhikaingmapuksa at  malipolangiligalnadroga. One of the highlights of the activity is the testimony of one of the surrenderers from Lucena Quezon on how the “SimulangPag-Asa” (SIPAG)  Program helped him in rebuilding his life and to totally end his illegal drugs abuses. “SimulangPag-asa” or “SiPag” of the Christ’s Commission Foundation Ministries, Inc. which was initiated through Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) is  a faith-based twelve (12) session recovery program for surrenderers and their families. PRO4A adapts the program in support to the PNP’s Command Memorandum Circular No. 30-2017 entitled: “Community- Based Recovery and  Wellness Program.” PRO4A took the lead role in coordinating all efforts of the community-government institutions involve towards the establishments of Recovery and  Wellness Program with the intent to prepare TokHang responders for their reintegration into the society. The event ended with the simultaneous nationwide lighting of candles which symbolizes peace and unity. (PIO-PRO4A)
