The  awardees were recognized for their involvement and  meritorious accomplishment during the conduct of SAFE 2016,  police operations and other commendable accomplishments.  One noteworthy was the recent accomplishment of Cavite  particularly Bacoor City Police Station wherein more r less 10  kilos and 400 grams of suspected shabu were confiscated and  4 suspects were arrested during a buy-bust operation  conducted on May 17, 2016 at Park Homes, Brgy. Queensrow,  West Central, Bacoor City. Anaother remarkable deed that was given recognition was the  act of the couple police officers namely PO2 Raymond L  Matundan and PO1 Mary Joy M Matundan both members of  Talisay Municipal Police Station of Batangas Police Provincial  Office who displayed honesty and dedication by bringing back  without hesitations to the owner of the lost pouch bag in May  14, 2016, containing large amount of money, passbook, ATM  Cards and other valuable belongings owned by Mrs. Teresa De  Leon Maravilla of Brgy. Sto. Tomas, Batangas. The story of the  couple were already featured in various TV program both local  and national and was also liked by netizens i  the social media  after it went viral. They were also given recognition by the local  government of Taisay for such exemplary display of character.  The awards were presented by PRO4A Officer-In-Charge  PCSUPT Ronald V Santos assisted by Regional Chief  Directorial Staff PSSUPT Bernabe M. Balba.

PRO4A's 1st  ‘My Brother’s Keeper’ Summit a Success  Camp BGen.Vicente P. Lim–The Police Regional Office CALABARZONheld  its1st ‘My Brother’s Keeper’ Squad Leaders and Values Coaches Summit  at Sta. Rosa City Multi-Purpose Sports Complex, Sta. Rosa City, Laguna on February 28, 2018 with an estimated five thousand (5000) participants  comprising of Regional staffs, Chiefs of Police, Squad Leaders, Provincial Coordinators, Values Coaches and some members of LGUs of  CALABARZON region.  Pastor.Adiel H De Torres, MBK Over-all Values Coach Coordinatorbriefthe audience on the update of said program since its launching on September  26, 2017 on the very same venue. At present, there are two thousand six hundred eighty-seven (2, 687) Squad Leaders in the whole CALABARZON  PNP with one thousand eight hundred thirty-five (1,835) volunteer Values Coaches and still growing in order to meet the one is to one ratio or one  values coach for every squad. My Brother’s Keeper is part of PRO-4A's internal cleansing program known as IMPLAN 149 which is derived from the book of Genesis Chapter  4 Verse 9 of the Old Testament: 9 Then the LORD said to Cain, “Where is your brother Abel?”. “I don’t know,” he replied. “Am I my bother’s keeper?” MBK adopts the squading concept which implies a much higher level of responsibility to closely supervise all personnel to include the development of  their individual skills as provided in their job description, designation and tasks by grouping personnel into squads. These squads will be spearheaded  by their respective squad leaders who shall be closely supervised by their immediate Supervisors and Unit Commanders at the Provincial and  Regional Level. During the summit, free legal counsel desk was also set up for those who would like to avail legal opinionfrom PsuptRamy G Tagnong, Chief Regional  Legal Service 4A and PsuptEmelyTrinidad, Provincial Legal Officer of Laguna and Quezon PPO. Selected Squad leaders and membersgave their testimonies on how MBK has changed and transform their lives to become effective and committed  law enforcer. Meanwhile, Hon. Danilo Fernandez, Sta Rosa City Mayor recognizes the internal cleansing efforts of RD Aplasca in making God as the center of our  lives and strengthening the spiritual aspect of every policeman in PRO-4A. Police Senior Superintendent Benigno B DuranaJr, PNP former Attaché in Italy, during his inspirational message stressed the significance of efficiency  and accountability to achieve the goal of a genuine transformation." We could not change the world, but we could change our word", PSSUPT Durana  Jr. said. He added that to achieve real transformation, one should have a genuine heart. The righteous shall live by faith. “A grace that is not of God is a  burden. Serve the people as if you are serving God, and your career will prosper. TuruannatinangatingkapulisanngsalitangDiyos.” In closing, Chief Superintendent Aplasca turned over the Squad Journals to Squad Leaders of every province.  Squad journals is the official record of  the Squad equivalent to Police blotter, wherein all activities will be reflected in the journal and Values Coaches will affix their signature in the journal  every after forum.AfterwhichSquad leaders recited the Pledge of Commitment of MBK.  “Today we are here to renew our commitment and transform. We should seek first the kingdom of God and everything else will be given. My Brother’s  Keeper is not my creation. But it is a gift of God. Again I am appealing to all of you; let us work hand in hand towards the attainment of our goal, a  police CALABARZON that is God-Centered, Service-Oriented, and Family-Based Law enforcers.” RD Aplasca concluded.(PIO-PRO4A)
