The  awardees were recognized for their involvement and  meritorious accomplishment during the conduct of SAFE 2016,  police operations and other commendable accomplishments.  One noteworthy was the recent accomplishment of Cavite  particularly Bacoor City Police Station wherein more r less 10  kilos and 400 grams of suspected shabu were confiscated and  4 suspects were arrested during a buy-bust operation  conducted on May 17, 2016 at Park Homes, Brgy. Queensrow,  West Central, Bacoor City. Anaother remarkable deed that was given recognition was the  act of the couple police officers namely PO2 Raymond L  Matundan and PO1 Mary Joy M Matundan both members of  Talisay Municipal Police Station of Batangas Police Provincial  Office who displayed honesty and dedication by bringing back  without hesitations to the owner of the lost pouch bag in May  14, 2016, containing large amount of money, passbook, ATM  Cards and other valuable belongings owned by Mrs. Teresa De  Leon Maravilla of Brgy. Sto. Tomas, Batangas. The story of the  couple were already featured in various TV program both local  and national and was also liked by netizens i  the social media  after it went viral. They were also given recognition by the local  government of Taisay for such exemplary display of character.  The awards were presented by PRO4A Officer-In-Charge  PCSUPT Ronald V Santos assisted by Regional Chief  Directorial Staff PSSUPT Bernabe M. Balba.

RD Eleazar leads awarding of ‘Medalya’ for Quezon PPO personnel  Camp Vicente Lim- The PRO4A Regional Director PCSUPT Guillermo Lorenzo T Eleazar personally commends the members of Quezon PPO for  their exceptional accomplishments in various police operations that brought prestige not only for Quezon Police Provincial Office but for the entire  PNP. The awarding was held today at Quezon PPO, Camp Guillermo Nakar, Lucena City together with the Provincial Director and other heads of  Support Units, and the Chiefs of Police.  "Police CALABARZON are disciplined, but let us all be reminded to always do what is right. With the increase of our salary, let us give back what is  due to the community being a more disciplined, more professional police officers which contributes to the peace and order and economic growth  not just in CALABARZON region but in the entire country,” RD Eleazar said.  Awardees were the following:  Medalya ng Kagalingan for the 6 members of Lucena CPS, and 10 Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) for the conduct of joint buy-bust  operation on May 12, 2018 which resulted to the arrest of Catherine S. Danez, alleged live-in partner of Rex Coronado, the leader of Coronado  Drug Group. Confiscated pieces of evidences were: one (1) zip lock and twenty (20) pieces of HSTPS containing white crystalline substance  believed to be shabu with a total weight of approximately 468.5grams with estimated street value of more or less Two Million Three Hundred Forty  Thousand Pesos (Php 2,340,000); three (3) pieces of One Thousand Peso Bill (Php 1,000); two (2) pieces of Five Hundred Peso Bill (Php 500);  one (1) digital weighing scale; one (1) white disposable spoon; one (1) blue disposable lighter and one (1) piece Metrobank deposit slip. Medalya ng Kagalingan for the 11 members of Candelaria MPS for the conduct of police operation against Wanted Person Bernaldo P Dailo  on  May 10, 2018 who fired upon the operating team instead of surrendering, thrown down a hand grenade fortunately not exploded prompted the  members of the operating team to fire back. Recovered evidences were: one (1) armscor caliber .45 pistol; one (1) M61 hand grenade; seven (7)  fired cartridges; one (1) piece of magazine for caliber .45; and one (1) live ammunition. Medalya ng Kagalingan for the 29 members of Lucena CPS, and 10 members of PDEU for the buy bust operation and implementation of search  warrants which resulted in the neutralization of of the suspects Ruel A. Kuan and Jonathan M. Romano and arrest of 24 other suspects.  confiscated during the operations were the following: twenty-nine (29) pieces of heat sealed sachet containing evidence believed to be shabu with  a total weight of 15.0961 grams; eight sealed transparent plastic sachets, each containing matter believed to be marijuana with a total weight of  3.7926 grams; one (1) homemade shotgun loaded with ammunitions; one (1) caliber .38 revolver without serial number and loaded with one (1)  ammunition; one (1) ammunition of 12-gauge shotgun; one (1) armscor caliber .38 revolver loaded with five (5) live ammunitions; one (1) fan knife;  one (1) caliber .45 pistol; and one (1) short magazine. Medalya ng Kagalingan for the 15 members of Unisan MPS for the police operation against the suspects of Robbery with Homicide and Frustrated  that transpired on May 12, 2018 at Brgy Caigdal, Unisan, Quezon where a security guard was shot by the robbers sustaining gunshot wound. An  armed encounter was ensued between the suspects and the operating unit that resulted in the neutralization of the two (2) suspects namely:  Marlon Tinamisan and Jemmerson Wigan, while the other one (1) was able to flee at the mountainous portion boundary of Unisan-Pitogo,  identified as Malvin Amolar y Real, member of all school robbery group in Unisan Quezon and was arrested after the hot pursuit. Medalya ng Papuri for the 21 members of Sariaya MPS for the conduct of manhunt operation after the shooting incident that transpired at Sitio  Manalo, Sampaloc 2, Sariaya Quezon wherein victim Aristeo Manalo Ilao sustained multiple gunshot wounds on his head that caused his  instantaneous death. Said manhunt operation resulted in the arrest of the suspects, namely: Ramil M Gesmundo and Reynaldo M Gesmundo.  Suspects were brought to Bulwagan ng Katarungan, Regional Trial Court, Lucena City for inquest proceedings for the crime of Murder under I.S.  Number IV-09-INQ-18E-00443.   Medalya ng Papuri for the 6 members of Perez MPS in the recovery of a blue container loaded with more or less twenty seven (27) packs of  cocaine weighing 26.29 kls amounting to more or less two hundred eighty million pesos (Php 280,000,000.00) positively identified by Quezon  Provincial Crime Laboratory Office at Brgy. Pinagtubigan Este, Perez, Quezon. Follow-up operations were conducted and on April 17, 2018  another plastic containing cocaine was positively identified weighing 1.02 kilogram amounting to more or less seven million pesos (Php  7,000,000.00). PCSUPT Eleazar said he would constantly visit the Provincial Offices to give appropriate awards to deserving personnel whenever there are  accomplishments.   “While we reward the good deeds, we will also punish the bad ones. Walang puwang ang mga pulis na hindi gumagawa ng tama. Let us caution  each other,” he further added. Earlier, the Regional Director launched its RD’s Hotline to cater to complaints against erring personnel and incidents involving illegal drugs and  other crimes.
