The  awardees were recognized for their involvement and  meritorious accomplishment during the conduct of SAFE 2016,  police operations and other commendable accomplishments.  One noteworthy was the recent accomplishment of Cavite  particularly Bacoor City Police Station wherein more r less 10  kilos and 400 grams of suspected shabu were confiscated and  4 suspects were arrested during a buy-bust operation  conducted on May 17, 2016 at Park Homes, Brgy. Queensrow,  West Central, Bacoor City. Anaother remarkable deed that was given recognition was the  act of the couple police officers namely PO2 Raymond L  Matundan and PO1 Mary Joy M Matundan both members of  Talisay Municipal Police Station of Batangas Police Provincial  Office who displayed honesty and dedication by bringing back  without hesitations to the owner of the lost pouch bag in May  14, 2016, containing large amount of money, passbook, ATM  Cards and other valuable belongings owned by Mrs. Teresa De  Leon Maravilla of Brgy. Sto. Tomas, Batangas. The story of the  couple were already featured in various TV program both local  and national and was also liked by netizens i  the social media  after it went viral. They were also given recognition by the local  government of Taisay for such exemplary display of character.  The awards were presented by PRO4A Officer-In-Charge  PCSUPT Ronald V Santos assisted by Regional Chief  Directorial Staff PSSUPT Bernabe M. Balba.

Authority: PSUPT CHITADEL CARANDANG GAOIRAN Chief, Regiona Public Information Office Police Regional Office 4- CALABARZON Camp Vicente Lim, Calamba City, Laguna 0919-4092763/0977-3375197 Email: pio_pro4a@yahoo.com.ph Facebook: rpiocalabarzon@yahoo.com.ph Twitter: @rpiopro4a PR NO. 11-2017 February 24, 2017 (Friday) PRO4A Celebrates 129th Birth Anniversary of General Vicente P Lim  Camp Vicente Lim - The Police Regional Office CALABARZON celebrated the 129th Birth Anniversary of Brigadier General Lim to whom the Camp Vicente  Lim was named after.  The celebration was graced by the grandson of General Lim Mr. Jose Mari Lim joined by the personnel of PRO CALABARZON led by PCSUPT Timoteo G  Pacleb, Deputy Regional Director for Administration, the members and representatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA 4A), Bureau of  Fire Protection (BFP 4A), Regional Internal Affairs Service (RIAS 4A and B), National Forensic Science Training Institute (NFSTI), National Fire Training  Institute (NFTI), National Jail Management and Penology Training Institute (NJMPTI), National Police Training Institute, City Government of Calamba, Office  of the Civil Defense, and the National Police Commission 4A and B.  The celebration is a traditional gathering of all personnel and other agencies to commemorate the courage and bravery of the late General Vicente P Lim.It  started with a mass at the Sacred Heart Chapel and wreath laying ceremony by the above mentioned agencies.  IDuring his message, PCSUPT Timoteo G Pacleb challenged everyone to emulate, inculcate and imbue in mind the legacy of General Lim through his  patriotism, ideals and quest for learning, ecellence and heroism in the defense of motherland.  In a response from the Lim family represented by the grandson, Mr. Jose Mari Lim mentioned that the life of his grandfather as a hero was lived by duty,  honor, and country which he considered to be a legacy and a true inheritance that one will leave for their families.  He also made example the conviction of  his grandfather that inorder to be respected one must first respect. “Without gaining respect, a leader may lead but people will follow beacuse of fear of  sanction rather than belief and trust, but if the leader is respected, the leader will be able to inspire people to follow, and they will follow willingly,  wholeheartedly, and with loyalty’, Mr. Lim said. As a tribute to the Lim family, a memento was presented to Mr. Jose Mari Lim by the Deputy Regional Director for Administration PCSUPT Timoteo G  Pacleb assisted by the Deputy Regional Director for Operations PSSUPT Israel Ephraim T Dickson.
