IN line with the directive of PRO4A RD PBGEN VICENTE DANAO JR in the campaign against all forms of illegal gambling, Quezon Police Provincial Office. Six (6) individuals were arrested during the conduct of separate anti-illegal gambling operations of Quezon PNP.
PLTCOL Romulo A Albacea, Acting Chief of Police, Lucena City Police Station in his submitted reported to PCol Audie L Madrideo, Provincial Director, Quezon PPO states that personnel of Lucena CPS conducted anti-illegal gambling operation at Purok Ilang-ilang, Brgy. Domoit, Lucena City that resulted in the arrest of Arnel Puertollano Y Concha @Arnel, male, Married, 48 years sold, Jobless, resident of Purok Ilang-ilang, Brgy. Domoit, Lucena City; Alfredo Nolla Y Acerado @Fredo, male, married, 66 years old, farmer and a resident of Purok Ilang-ilang, Brgy. Domoit, Lucena City and Andrei Zarsadiaz Y Boban @Andrei, male, single, 18 years old and a resident of Purok Ilang-ilang, Brgy. Domoit, Lucena City. Accordingly, suspects were caught in the act while actually engaging in illegal cockfighting.
Confiscated from the possessions of the suspects were two (2) cocks, two (2) pieces of gaffs (TARI) and bet money amounting to Php 550.00
Subsequently, personnel of Catanauan MPS under PMaj Lowell M Atienza conducted arrested Joriel Morato, 20 years old, single, native and resident of Brgy. Doongan Ilaya, Catanauan, Quezon; Gregor Fenis Eguas, 28 years old, single, farmer, native and resident of Brgy. Navitas Catanauan, Quezon and Ian Eguas Gonzales, 23 years old, single, jobless, native and resident of Brgy. Navitas, Catanauan, Quezon after illegal gambling (tupada) operation was conducted at Brgy Navitas, Catanauan, Quezon at about 2:10 in the afternoon same date wherein suspects were caught while playing and betting in illegal cockfighting (tupada).
Confiscated pieces of evidence were one (1) pouch bag color gray/yellow six (6) pieces of Gaff, two (2) pieces of fighting cock, and bet money amounting to one thousand two hundred pesos (Php 1,200.00).
Suspects are presently detained at the custodial facilities of respective Municipal Police Stations while criminal complaint for Violation of PD 1602 and RA 11332 are being prepared for filing against the suspects before the Prosecutor’s Office.###

PNP’s Top Cop visits and lays down guidance in PRO4A

Camp BGen Vicente P Lim – The Chief Philippine National Police, PGEN Archie Francisco F Gamboa has finally laid down his policies, programs and guidance during his Command Visit at Police Regional Office CALABARZON after the recent unfortunate incidents that braved us all.

Camp BGen Pantaleon Garcia, Imus City, Cavite- Cavite Police accosted 85 violators of General Community Quarantine and arrested 23 others including the 16 gamblers over the last 24 hours from July 5-6, 2020.
In line with the Directives of PRO4A RD PBGEN VICENTE DANAO JR in the continous campaign against all forms of illegal gambling, 16 individuals were collared out of 5 operations conducted by Cavite PNP for Violation of Illegal Cockfighting Law (Tupada) and confiscated from them were 11 fighting cocks, 7 gaff and cash amounting to Php 5,470.00 as bet money.
On the campaign against illegal drugs, GMA MPS arrested 1 drug personality and seized 2 pieces of suspected shabu and assorted drug paraphernalia’s.
While 6 others were arrested for Alarm and Scandal, Grave Threat and Direct Assault; Stabbing Incident transpired at Brgy. Caridad, Cavite City; Direct Assault, PD 1829 (Obstruction of Justice) and Art 177 of RPC (Usurpation of Authority) and Direct Assault, Alarm and Scandal, Disobedience in a person in Authority and Violation of GCQ rules and regulation of RA 1132 (Curfew).
Cavite PPOs daily updates on GCQ Violators with a total of 85 offenders. They recorded 63 violators on curfew hours; 12 on Social Distancing and 10 no face masks.
The arrested suspects were apprised of their Constitutional Rights provided in the Miranda Rule and RA 9745 (Anti-Torture Act of 2009) and were brought to the stations to prepare criminal charges for Inquest Proceedings to be filed before the Office of the Provincial Prosecutor.
“I urged my men to continue our commitment to serve Caviteños with utmost dedication in the fight against all forms of criminalities in this time of Pandemic,” Provincial Director PCOL Marlon Santos said.
